Essential Beliefs
Las siguientes creencias son las esenciales para ser miembro de VIDA Church. En las creencias esenciales tenemos unidad, en las no esenciales tenemos libertad, pero en todas nuestras creencias demostramos caridad (amor). Para un entendimiento más detallado de la posición teológica de VIDA Church, recomendamos leer Teología Sistemática, por el Dr. Wayne Grudem, ya que la teología de VIDA coincide en general con la del Dr. Grudem.
The following beliefs are essential to be a member VIDA Church. In these essential beliefs we have unity, in the non-essentials we have liberty, but in all of our beliefs we show charity (love). For a more detailed explanation of the theological position of VIDA Church, we recommend reading Systematic Theology, by Dr. Wayne Grudem, as VIDA's theology generally coincides with that of Dr. Grudem.
Acerca de Dios | about god
Dios es el Creador y Señor del Universo, ha existido eternamente en tres personas: el Padre, el Hijo y el Espíritu Santo. Estos tres son co- iguales y un solo Dios.

God is the Creator and Ruler of the universe. He has eternally existed in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. These three are co-equal and are one God.

Acerca de Jesucristo | about jesus christ
Jesucristo es el Hijo de Dios. Es co-igual con el Padre. Jesús vivió una vida humana perfecta sin pecado, y se ofreció a sí mismo como el sacrificio perfecto por los pecados del mundo al morir en la cruz. Resucitó de entre los muertos al tercer día, para demostrar su poder sobre el pecado y la muerte. Ascendió al cielo y volverá otra vez a la tierra para reinar como Rey de Reyes y Señor de Señores.

Jesus Christ is the Son of God. He is co-equal with the Father. Jesus lived a sinless human life and offered Himself as the perfect sacrifice for the sins of all people by dying on a cross. He arose from the dead after three days to demonstrate His power over sin and death. He ascended to Heaven's glory and will return again someday to earth to reign as King of Kings, and Lord of Lords.

Acerca del Espíritu Santo | about the holy spirit
El Espíritu Santo es co-igual con el Padre y el Hijo de Dios. Está presente en el mundo para hacer conscientes a los hombres de su necesidad de Cristo Jesús. Vive también en cada cristiano desde el momento de la salvación. Provee al cristiano poder para vivir, entendimiento de las verdades espirituales y dirección en hacer lo que es correcto. Da a cada creyente por lo menos un don espiritual al momento de su salvación. Como cristianos, buscamos vivir bajo su control diariamente.

The Holy Spirit is co-equal with God the Father and the Son of God. He is present in the world to make men aware of their need for Jesus Christ. He also lives in every Christian from the moment of salvation. He provides the Christian with power for living, understanding of spiritual truth, and guidance in doing what is right. He gives every believer at least one spiritual gift when they are saved. As Christians we seek to live under His control daily.

Acerca de la Biblia | about the bible
La Biblia es la Palabra de Dios. Fue escrita por autores humanos, bajo la dirección sobrenatural e inspiración del Espíritu Santo. Es la fuente suprema de la verdad para las creencias y vida cristianas. Como la Biblia es inspirada por Dios, es la verdad sin errores.

The Bible is God's Word. It was written by human authors, under the supernatural guidance and inspiration of the Holy Spirit. It is the supreme source of truth for Christian beliefs and living. Because the Bible is inspired by God, it is the truth without any mixture of error.

Acerca de los Seres Humanos | about human beings
Las personas están hechas a la imagen espiritual de Dios para ser como Él en carácter. El ser humano es el objeto supremo de la creación de Dios. Aunque cada persona tiene tremendo potencial para el bien, todos estamos contaminados por el “pecado,” el cual separa a las personas de Dios y causa muchos problemas en la vida.

People are made in the spiritual image of God to be like Him in character. People are the supreme object of God's creation. Although every person has tremendous potential for good, all of us are marred by “sin” which separates people from God and causes many problems in life.

Acerca de la Salvación | about salvation
La Salvación es el regalo de Dios para nosotros, pero es necesario aceptarlo. Nunca podremos compensar por nuestros pecados por medio del mejoramiento personal o las buenas obras. Sólo confiando únicamente en Jesucristo como el ofrecimiento de perdón de Dios puede uno ser salvo del castigo por su pecado. Cuando nos volvemos de nuestra vida auto-controlada a Jesús por fe, somos salvos. La vida eterna empieza en el momento en que uno recibe a Cristo en su vida por medio de la fe.

Salvation is God's free gift to us, but we must accept it. We can never make up for our sins by self-improvement or good works. Only by trusting in Jesus Christ alone as God's offer of forgiveness can anyone be saved from sin's penalty. When we turn from our self-ruled life and turn to Jesus in faith alone, we are saved. Eternal life begins the moment one receives Jesus Christ into his/her life by faith alone. Romans 6:23;

Acerca de la Seguridad Eterna | about eternal security
Debido a que Dios nos da vida eterna a través de Jesucristo, el verdadero creyente tiene seguridad en esa salvación por la eternidad. Si uno genuinamente ha sido salvo, no puede perder la salvación. La salvación se mantiene por la gracia y el poder de Dios, no por el esfuerzo propio del cristiano. Es la gracia y el poder sustentador de Dios que nos da esta seguridad.

Because God gives us eternal life through Jesus Christ, the true believer is secure in that salvation for eternity. If one has been genuinely saved, he cannot lose it. Salvation is maintained ultimately by the grace and power of God, not by the effort of the Christian. It is the grace and keeping power of God that gives us this security.

Acerca de la Eternidad | about eternity
Fuimos creados para existir para siempre. Cada uno de nosotros existirá eternamente, ya sea separado de Dios por el pecado, o en unión con Dios a través del perdón y la salvación. La separación eterna de Dios es el infierno. Estar en unión eterna con Dios es la vida eterna. El cielo y el infierno son lugares reales de existencia eterna.

People were created to exist forever. We will either exist eternally separated from God by sin or eternally with God through forgiveness and salvation. To be eternally separated from God is hell. To be eternally in union with Him is eternal life. Heaven and Hell are real places of eternal existence.

Esta declaración de fe no agota el alcance de nuestras creencias. This statement of faith does not exhaust the scope of our beliefs. The Bible itself, as the inspired and inerrant Word of God that speaks with final authority regarding truth, morality, and the proper conduct of mankind, is the sole and ultimate source of all that we believe. For the purposes of VIDA Church's faith, doctrine, practice, policy and discipline, our Elders are the Church's final interpretative authority on the meaning and application of the Bible.
